The Reading Street selection this week was titled "Stretching Ourselves:  Kids with Cerebral Palsy" and it was about 3 different kids with varying degrees of CP and how they have to sometimes do things differently and try harder than other kids. Ms. Schlager is one of our outstanding 3rd grade teachers. Her classroom environment is always engaging and her students learn at a rapid pace. She has been a team leader for several years and we appreciate her expertise on student management and organization. Give Hilarie a high five when you see her and congratulate her for all the awesome teaching she does every day.

On Friday, October 28 teachers participated in a writing workshop with presenters from Lucy Calkins & Colleagues. Reading and writing are two key points in a child's educational upbringing and teachers have the tools to ensure students learn at high levels of rigor and thinking.
