Hello,

My name is Caitlin Belser. This is my first year teaching and I am so excited to be at Rawlins Elementary!

Here's a little bit about me . . .

I was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, but was raised in Laramie, Wyoming. I have been involved in music my entire life by participating in a variety of bands and choirs. Although I love to play all brass instruments, my main instrument is the euphonium. I graduated from Laramie High School in 2012 and then attended the University of Wyoming. While at the university, I was a member of the Western Thunder Marching Band and enjoyed many adventures with them. I graduated with my Bachelors in Music Education in the spring of 2017.

I have had such a blast with your kids in music so far and I can't wait to see where the rest of the year takes us!

Sincerely,

Miss Belser

Jingle Bells

Dashing through the snow in a one-horse open sleigh,

O’er the fields we go, laughing all the way. Ha ha ha!

Bells on bob-tail ring, making spirits bright;

What fun it is to ride and sing a sleighing song tonight!

Oh! Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way.

Oh, what fun it is to ride in a one-horse open sleigh! Hey!

Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way.

Oh, what fun it is to ride in a one-horse open sleigh!

A day or two ago, I thought I’d take a ride,

And soon Miss Fannie Bright was seated by my side.

The horse was lean and lank, misfortune seemed his lot.

We ran into a drifted bank and there we got upsot!

Oh! Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way.

Oh, what fun it is to ride in a one-horse open sleigh! Hey!

Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way.

Oh, what fun it is to ride in a one-horse open sleigh!

Dashing through the snow in a one-horse open sleigh,

O’er the fields we go, laughing all the way. Ha ha ha!

Bells on bob-tails ring, making spirits bright;

Oh, what fun it is to ride in a one-horse open sleigh!

One-horse open sleigh!

Nice, Not Naughty

I’m gonna be nice, not naughty. I’m gonna be nice, not naughty.

I’m gonna be good this year. I’m gonna give lots and lots of cheer!

I’m gonna be good this year. I’m gonna give lots and lots of cheer!

I’m gonna be nice!

Santa makes a list each year. I hear he checks it twice.

This time when he double checks, he’ll see that I’ve been nice!

(Spoken) N-I-C-E, Nice!

(sung) I’m gonna be nice, not naughty. I’m gonna be nice, not naughty.

Ring the Bells, It’s Christmas!

Ring the bells and spread the cheer,

Oh, sing, noel, noel.

Christmas time returns,

And all around us we can tell.

Colored lights upon the tree,

Gifts for you and me,

Carols sung in harmony,

Noel, it’s Christmas.

(repeat above)

Sing noel, noel.

Sing noel, noel.

Ring the bells and spread the cheer,

Oh, sing, noel, noel.

Christmas time returns,

And all around us we can tell.

Colored lights upon the tree,

Gifts for you and me,

Carols sung in harmony,

Noel, it’s Christmas.

It’s Christmas.

Ring the bells and spread the cheer,

Oh, sing, noel, noel.

Christmas time returns,

And all around us we can tell.

Colored lights upon the tree,

Gifts for you and me,

Carols sung in harmony,

Ring the bells. Spread the cheer.

Sing noel, it’s Christmas time!

Gonna Catch That Santa

Shh! Quiet.

Santa Claus is comin’, comin’ Christmas eve.

Gonna catch a glimpse of him, prove he’s not just make belive.

Lure him down the chimney with the smell of food.

Cookies and a glass of milk, gonna catch that Santa dude.

Lookin’ for Santa Claus high and low.

Listen for Santa Claus “Ho ho ho.”

Searchin’ for Santa Clause left and right.

Where could he be tonight?

Here’s our secret mission, here’s our clever plan.

Meet me by the Christmas tree, gonna catch that Santa man.

Shh! Quiet.

Waiting by the window, watching in the sky,

Trying not to fall asleep, gonna catch that Santa guy. Shh!

Listen for the sleigh-bells, hear them jingling.

Santa Claus is almost here, gonna do his Santa thing.

Lookin’ for Santa Claus high and low.

Listen for Santa Claus “Ho ho ho.”

Searchin’ for Santa Clause left and right.

Where could he be tonight?

When you hear the reindeer and their reindeer paws,

Then you know the time has come,

Gonna catch that Santa, catch that Santa,

Catch that Santa Claus, Santa Claus, Santa Claus.

(spoken) That’s Him!

Feliz Navidad

Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree

Rockin’ around the Christmas tree at the Christmas party hop.

Mistletoe hung where you can see ev’ry couple tries to stop.

Rockin around the Christmas tree, let the Christmas spirit ring.

Later we’ll have some pumpkin pie and we’ll do some caroling.

You will get a sentimental feeling when you hear

Voices singing “Let’s be jolly, deck the halls with boughs of holly.”

Rockin’ around the Christmas tree, have a happy holiday.

Everyone dancing merrily in the new old fashioned way.

(repeat everything above)

Everyone dancing merrily in the new old fashioned way!

(spoken) Merry Christmas!

Tick Tock!

Every night I listen to the old grandfather clock.

It always makes me sleepy with its regular “tick tock.”

But something seems to happen when December chills the air.

The ticking keeps me wide awake with excitement ev’rywhere!

And it goes tick tock, tick tock, Christmas, don’t be late!

Tick tock, tick tock, I can hardly wait!

Tick tock, tick tock, time is drawing near!

So hurry, hurry, Christmas, my fav’rite time of year!

All day long I watch the clock that stands out in the hall,

Counting minutes till the day when Santa comes to call.

Ding dong, ding dong, listen to the chime.

It tells the world that soon it will be Christmas time!

Tick tock, tick tock, Christmas, don’t be late!

Tick tock, tick tock, I can hardly wait!

Tick tock, tick tock, time is drawing near!

So hurry, hurry, Christmas, my fav’rite time of year!

As I listen to the clock I hear each ticking sound,

Bringing Christmas closer as its hands go ‘round and ‘round.

Ding dong, ding dong, Santa’s on his way.

My heart will beat just like the clock till Christmas Day!

Tick tock, tick tock, Christmas, don’t be late!

Tick tock, tick tock, I can hardly wait!

Tick tock, tick tock, time is drawing near!

So hurry, hurry, Christmas!

So hurry, hurry, Christmas!

So hurry, hurry, Christmas, my fav’rite time of year!

(spoken) Tick tock!

Up on the Housetop

Up on the housetop reindeer pause,

Out jumps good old Santa Claus.

Down through the chimney with lots of toys,

All for the little ones Christmas joys.

Ho, ho, ho! Who wouldn’t go!

Ho, ho, ho! Who wouldn’t go!

Up on the housetop , click, click, click!

Down through the chimney with good Saint Nick.

First comes the stocking of little Nell.

Oh, dear Santa fill it well.

Give her a dolly that laughs and cries,

one that will open and shut her eyes.

Ho, ho, ho! Who wouldn’t go!

Ho, ho, ho! Who wouldn’t go!

Up on the housetop , click, click, click!

Down through the chimney with good Saint Nick.

Next comes the stocking of little Will.

Oh, just see what a glorious fill!

Here is a hammer and lots of tacks.

Also a ball and a whip that cracks!

Ho, ho, ho! Who wouldn’t go!

Ho, ho, ho! Who wouldn’t go!

Up on the housetop , click, click, click!

Down through the chimney with good Saint Nick.

Ho, ho, ho! Who wouldn’t go!

Ho, ho, ho! Who wouldn’t go!

Up on the housetop , click, click, click!

Down through the chimney with good Saint Nick.

Blitzen’s Boogie

You know Dasher and Dancer, Prancer and Vixen,

Comet, Cupid, Donner, but do you, do you know Blitzen? Do you know Blitzen?

He’s a boogie woogie reindeer, and he boogies all day!

(repeat)

He’s some kinda cool when the seasonis Yule.

He boogies away while he pulls on a sleigh.

He’s some kinda fine and his moves are divine.

He boogies a lot with the rhythm he’s got.

You know Dasher and Dancer, Prancer and Vixen,

Comet, Cupid, Donner, but do you, do you know Blitzen? Do you know Blitzen?

He’s a boogie woogie reindeer, and he boogies all day!

He’s a boogie woogie reindeer, and he boogies all day!

Well, he’s a boogie woogie reindeer, and he boogies all day!

Do you know Blitzen?

(spoken) Yeah!
