Music Teacher

RES K/1

Hello,

My name is Caitlin Belser. This is my first year teaching and I am so excited to be at Rawlins Elementary!

Here's a little bit about me . . .

I was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, but was raised in Laramie, Wyoming. I have been involved in music my entire life by participating in a variety of bands and choirs. Although I love to play all brass instruments, my main instrument is the euphonium. I graduated from Laramie High School in 2012 and then attended the University of Wyoming. While at the university, I was a member of the Western Thunder Marching Band and enjoyed many adventures with them. I graduated with my Bachelors in Music Education in the spring of 2017.

I have had such a blast with your kids in music so far and I can't wait to see where the rest of the year takes us!

Sincerely,

Miss Belser

The K/1 Chior will be performing at the Rawlins Rehabilitation and Wellness Center on Friday April, 6th at 10:00am. We will be performing 4 songs. Below are the lyrics and recordings to practice with.

Friends All Around Us

We have friends all around us.

Friends everywhere. We have Friends all around us.

We have friends who care.

(repeat)

We have friends who care.

Jazz Is On Its Way

Movin’ up the river, listen to that sound.

Jazz is on its way.

Goin’ to Chicago, goin’ to New York.

Jazz is here to stay.

From Louisiana, spreading through the land.

Hear that music play.

From Kansas City to Saint Louie, ‘cross the USA, oh!

Jazz is on its way!

(repeat all)

Oh! Jazz is on its way!

Jazz is on its way! Yeah!

Wide Open Spaces

I want to live in those wide open spaces, out where the buffalo roam.

Tall in the saddle, a drivin’ them cattle, I long to make it my home.

Nobody looks at you funny when you put on your ten gallon hat.

Ridin’ the range ain’t a game when you have three hundred head to heard back.

I want to live in those wide open spaces, out where the buffalo roam.

Tall in the saddle, a drivin’ them cattle, I long to make it my home.

Ain’t heard a word of discouragement although I’ve been ridin’ all day.

Skies are not cloudy all day they say, where the deer and the antelope play.

I want to live in those wide open spaces, out where the buffalo roam.

Tall in the saddle, a drivin’ them cattle, I long to make it my home.

I long to make it my home.

I long to make it my home.

This Flag We Fly

Across our nation you can see our great flag wave.

It symbolizes freedom for the home of the brave.

With our hands upon our hearts, we will honor it each day.

This flag we fly is for the USA.

So raise it high! Fly it proud!

It’s our flag and we will never take it down!

It’s for our home. It’s for our brave.

This flag we fly is for the USA.

You know the story, how our symbol came to be.

The flag we call Old Glory stands for hope and unity.

With our hands upon our hearts, we will honor it each day.

This flag we fly is for the USA.

So raise it high! Fly it proud!

It’s our flag and we will never take it down!

It’s for our home. It’s for our brave.

This flag we fly is for the USA.

Oh, all the world will see our flag flies free.

It stands for liberty! This flag we fly was made for you and me.

Oh, all the world will see our flag flies free.

It stands for liberty! This flag we fly was made for you and me.

This flag we fly is for our liberty.
