James Keldsen

Mr. Keldsen Who? Mr. Keldsen graduated from Rawlins High School in 1977. After attending schools in Rawlins for 13 years, he graduated from Hastings College in Hastings, Nebraska. He went to Mountain View Elementary K-6, the old Rawlins Junior High School and at the old RHS. At RHS Mr. Keldsen was in over 8 plays and five musicals and played first chair trumpet in the RHS Band. He was in all the choirs including "Staff" which was the predecessor of Jazz Co. He was a member of the 1977 Wyoming All State Choir. Going to Hastings College in Hastings, Nebraska, Mr. Keldsen majored in Choral Music Education and Voice Performance  graduating in 1981. Since then he has taught in the public schools as a music teacher for 36 years. The last 16 years JKK has been an elementary music teacher in Rawlins. He is married to his wife, Valentina, and they have two children, Jamie in eighth grade and Kenneth in the sixth grade. They are currently on staff as church musicians at the Rawlins Cooperative Parish of the United Methodist and France Memorial Presbyterian Churches.
