I am starting my 16th year teaching here in Rawlins, Wyoming. I moved here fresh out of college at the University of Wyoming after I did my student teaching at Mountain View. Honestly, I didn't plan on staying in Rawlins this long, but I have found that the people and community of Rawlins are what makes it a great place to live!
I love teaching 4th graders and it's important to me to make connections with my students! I feel that when kids enjoy coming to school then that's half the battle! We incorporate many hands-on and real world activities in my classroom to make learning fun. Some big projects that you'll see us do throughout the year are our restaurant project and wax museum.
You'll see me chasing around my two little girls, Elana and Quorra who are both in Rawlins Elementary School now. In the winter, I am the head basketball coach of our Lady Outlaws. I feel so fortunate to be involved in this great community!
