Teresa Castilleja

Special Education Teacher

My name is Teresa Castilleja- AKA: "Mrs. Cas" or "The Lady from Walmart".  I am married and have two grown children.  I enjoy scrapbooking, camping, traveling, and hanging out with my family.  

I graduated from Chamberlain, South Dakota in 1984 and attended Black Hills State University in Spearfish, South Dakota.  I received a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education and Special Education. After college I taught 3-5 Grade Special Education in Newcastle, Wyoming and Middle School Special Education in Saratoga, Wyoming.  In 1993 I was hired by CCSD #1 where I have taught Special Education at Mountain View Elementary, Highland Hills Elementary and RES K-1.   

I teach in a Resource Room where I help students 1-1 or small group to learn skills they are developing. The students earn rewards such as time on the IPAD, stickers, treasure box treats, snacks, positive phone calls/ texts home and written awards sent home to parents.
