What's Happening With RES Counselors?

12/16/21

Dear Parent/Guardian,

As this month and year come to a close, we would like to take some time and reflect on the experiences that we have had this year with your students. Even though we are still facing some difficult times, your students have been the lights that shine in the sometimes dark world. We love to see their smiling faces every day and their happiness reaches out to affect everyone around them.

We would like to thank you for giving us new counselors, or new to this school, the chance to know your students.

Dear Parent/Guardian,

This month our students are learning about friendship during Social Emotional Learning time with our Counselors. In these once monthly lessons, we will teach your child about the many traits a good friend has, ways to build good friendships, signs of a strong friendship, how to deal with jealousy in friendship groups, and how to maintain friendships.

We, the counselors of Rawlins Elementary School, ask you to reinforce these lessons by talking to your children about how to be a good friend.

If you have any questions about what we are teaching, please contact one of the counselors.

Dear Parent/Guardian,

This month our schools are learning about bullying. In these once monthly lessons, we will teach your child about how to spot bullying, how to report bullying, how to stand up to bullies, and how bystanders play a key role in bullying situations.

We, the counselors of Rawlins Elementary School, ask you to reinforce these lessons by talking to your children about bullying.

If you have any questions about what we are teaching, please  contact one of the counselors.
