At last Thursday's Board Meeting, Cole Tully, one of our CCSD #1 bus drivers, was recognized as Support Staff of the Month for his leadership to "Fill the Bus." The transportation department collected over $6,000 in donations and 69 backpacks full of school supplies that they delivered to schools the day before the school year started. Thank you, Cole and the CCSD #1 Transportation department for your support of our students this summer and all school year!

Yesterday, we welcomed back LSRV staff and today, we welcome back our Rawlins staff for the 2025-2026 school year. Carbon #1 is very fortunate to have so many teachers, counselors, secretaries, nurses, para professionals, administrators, SRO's, transportation staff, food service staff, maintenance/custodial staff, athletic staff and coaches, and technology staff in our district. Here's wishing you the best year yet! Thank you for all you do!
Also, a big THANK YOU to all of our maintenance/custodial, food service, aquatic, transportation, summer school, technology, and central office staff who worked though the summer to ensure we have the best start to the school year! Your hard work shows and we appreciate you!

RES started a reading link in January. Each student was encouraged to read at home each night and bring back their reading log signed and they would receive a reading link for the chain. Yesterday we linked the chains together to connect both buildings. Here is the video of the RES students.
