As we head into April we will continue to keep our protocols in place with staff and students. Please continue to send your students with masks each day.
RES Student Council concluded their penny wars. Students raised $579.52 for Rawlins Rochelle Animal Shelter.
RES’s 2021-2022 registration will be open for parents starting April 15th. This registration is required for all returning students, new incoming kindergarten students, and pre-k students. Students entering kindergarten may register if their fifth birthday falls on or before August 1st. Upon parental request, a student may register in kindergarten in the year in which his/her fifth birthday falls on or before September 15th if, based upon the kindergarten readiness assessment, the District determines that the student is developmentally ready, both academically and socially to attend kindergarten. If your child's fifth birthday falls between August 2nd - September 15 and you want them to be considered for kindergarten, please call the school with your contact information so that we are able to get your student on the list for the kindergarten readiness assessment. Pre-K students must be 4 years old on or before August 1st, 2021.
RES students will be taking their state assessments April 13 - May 7. Students in grades K-2 will test in reading and math. Students in grade 3 (ELA, Math, Writing), grade 4 (ELA, Math, Science), and grade 5 (ELA, Math, Writing).
We are asking for parent input on our survey regarding programs that are used by RES students. Please go to the following link to complete the survey. This information will be used to help make decisions for the upcoming school year. This link can also be found on crb1.net (click on schools in the right hand corner, then Rawlins Elementary School and scroll down to announcements).
We will be posting pictures of items that are in our lost and found at both buildings. Please check these out on our Facebook page. If you see any of your students items please remind your student to pick them up from the location or a parent may come to the office and request the item.
As we start to enter into spring we will have nice days, and we will still have days with snow. Please remind your students to dress in layers and appropriate clothing for going outside. Living in Wyoming we know that the temperatures can change significantly from one moment to the next. I strongly encourage you to look at the weather ahead of time.
Please make sure that you check out the Rawlins Elementary School FaceBook page and the School Website: res.crb1.net.
